Part 2 - Gary
In "The Great Gatsby", Daisy is a perfect character to express the American dream.
Daisy comes from a wealthy family, she has enough charm, elegance and wealth, but her heart is full of boredom, fickle and shallow💃. Wealth only supports her beauty on the outside, but she's inside is empty😨😨😨.
She was born in a wealthy family, but what she wants is a real luxury life, she wants more wealth and status. In the beginning, Gatsby's humour and wit attracted her, but Tom showed her the real life of the upper class, as she expected and fantasized, luxury, wealth and noble status💰💰💰. In the end, Daisy chose Tom and abandoned Gatsby.
For Daisy, she has already completed a class leap that ordinary people may not be able to complete in her lifetime💸💰💸. After she met her basic needs such as food and life, she began to look forward to having a more high-end life or experience🙈👀🙈, such as marrying a rich man. She finally succeeded in marrying a wealthy family at the cost of abandoning Gatsby💩💩, but she also lost herself in the process. Money, meanness and fickleness have made her a realist😈😈, which is completely contrary to her initial expectations for a better life in the future.
