In the book The Great Gatsby 👀, Gatsby is one of the main characters and also he is my favourite character in this book.(not only because he is handsome!👀) That is because of he is a person who has ambition, dreams and aspirations, working hard but self-conceit at the same time. And also he believes in the power of  wealth，he believed that if he had a lot of money 💵💵💵he would be equal with the old moneys💵💵💵, so he constantly fighting against his own fate. People born like him, this poor, most of them will spend all of their lives like this😳😨. But Gatsby, he not only get succeed earn much money💲💵, but also achieved a level of achievement which comparable to that of the old moneys have. At the same time, Gatsby knew that he was not worthy of Daisy, but he chose to seize the opportunity to get her❤❤❤. And Gatsby spent the next few years climbing his way up to Daisy’s social class, just because Daisy is the last thing he wanted👩💘💞.  

Why do I think Gatsby is a quintessential example of the American Dream?😶😶😶

As I said in part one The American Dream is a kind of system, which can lead the people in American have opportunities to achieve success and achievements , and they can be whatever they want to be, whatever they want to do, as far as the law allows. For example a big house💝, a fashionable car 🏅and a happy family💑💏. Then compare this to Gatsby，We can see that he is a very good example of what the American Dream was all about. Because as we know, he born in a very very pool family😷, and he believes in he can get the power and influence, respect from others and women’s love💕💘 by his own effort. And he did achieve almost everything he wanted in the end. He has the right the power to be above the law，the parties he holds in his big house every weekend everyone wants to take part in. Includes the old money（OMG）, new money and policitian. Gatsby even got to study in Oxford University, which is a really great University in the world, and he also became a war hero, a company commander through joined the army. Because of that he got Daisy’s love💗💖, the girl who was born in old money family and almost perfect.👰  

As I said, Gatsby has got many achievements by his own efforts, he has a huge house, fashion sports cares and social status💸💸💸. But what really connected him to the American Dream is the way he thinking🤔🤔🤔. Most of children who born into such a poor family they would live average and simple lives. But Gatsby was really different, he had a really high opinion of himself since he was a child👀👀. In short, he has a dream, he has a dream to be as good as old money, he has a dream to make a difference𝨍. So he grabbed the olive branch of the American Dream and climbed up. And he succeeded because of the systerm of American Dream, he has got every single thing he wanted.

Look At Gatsby’s Charming smiling face👀💓💓💕

   In my opinion, Gatsby was also a true portrait of the new moneys💸💰 of that period in America. And the people who need to change are the old moneys in this story. They are stubborn and born with a golden key，they are unaware of the sufferings of other social classes and even despise them and old moneys are racist. Tom is a good example for this, he said something like black slaves 💁should not pass our white people. And he was too proud of what he had achieved, in fact most of his achievements are due to his background. So they do need to change their thoughts.🤔🤔🤔
